Jevan and Kohan, the two Year 6 boys who won the Year 5 and 6 heat of our poetry recital competition, have been notified that they are to represent Leicestershire in the national final of the Poetry By Heart competition. This is an amazing achievement as the judges viewed over a thousand videos to select the winners! The boys now have a two-day trip to London to look forward to, including the opportunity to watch a storytelling version of a Shakespearean play, and will perform their poem again on the stage of the Globe Theatre. Famous guests at the event will include the Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage.
